ChemAdvantage is
Peter Moskaluk and his wife Mary Ann. We are dedicated to delivering the
highest-quality on-line AP Chemistry instruction for homeschoolers.
With our background in teaching chemistry, our experience
using computer applications, our personalized approach and our
strict adherence to the requirements of achievement tests, we will provide
students an outstanding, comprehensive on-line AP Chemistry course.
Instructor Qualifications: Peter Moskaluk is a certified teacher with
30 years experience in teaching high school chemistry, including AP Chemistry.
He received a BS in Science and a Master of Science Education degree at Wayne
State University. As part of the Master's program, he worked with the Fairleigh
Dickinson University Lab in St Croix monitoring coral reef oxygen respiration
rates. He was sponsored by the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation as a Woodrow
Wilson Fellow at Princeton. While working for the National Science Foundation's
Project Seraphim, he led workshops for chemistry teachers around the country,
developed applications for computers in chemistry education and hosted an
international Internet Conference, CHYMNET, for chemistry educators. He has also
taken the College Board Institute for teaching AP Chemistry at Oakland
University.
Mr. Moskaluk has written science questions for the Michigan Educational
Assessment Test and the ACT Assessment®
and has served as a chemistry reviewer for the University of North Carolina's
interactive Web Question Database. He has also edited articles for the Journal
of Chemical Education.
In 2003, Mr. Moskaluk went to Washington, D.C. to receive the
2003 Presidential Scholars Teacher Recognition Award.
The award was in recognition of being an inspiring and challenging teacher. Only
100 teachers in the entire country receive this prestigious award each year.
