Honors Chemistry Description:
Honors Chemistry is a one-year, two-semester, college preparatory course requiring students to perform at an advanced academic level. The course is designed for students with scientific and mathematic abilities and helps prepare students for the rigor and challenges of college-level courses. The college-level textbook will be supplemented with worksheets, problem sets and hands-on laboratory work.

Honors Chemistry is taught by a caring, knowledgeable and award-winning teacher with over 30 years experience teaching high-school science including Honors Chemistry and AP® Chemistry.
Our course includes weekly assignments, custom study sheets, specific material from the text, problem sets and regular lab work adhering to college standards. The lab work will be both quantitative and qualitative. Students will be expected to work with and store the chemicals and equipment used in the labs in a safe and responsible manner.
In conjunction with the assignments in this course, students use an online, interactive homework and test program. This customized learning environment provides a rich, unique learning experience. Short answer, numeric and multiple-choice questions are immediately graded to provide instant feedback. Students know right away if they've done a problem incorrectly and can correct it for resubmission.
