Your Teacher, Mr. Peter Moskaluk


Mr. Moskaluk is dedicated to delivering the best AP® Chemistry instruction available to homeschoolers. A master teacher with PA Homeschoolers, he has been teaching AP® Chemistry online to homeschoolers for 12 years. He also has over 35 years experience teaching science including Honors and AP® Chemistry in a highly ranked public school system.

Mr. Moskaluk received a BS in Science and a Master of Science Education degree at Wayne State University. He has worked at numerous National Science Foundation teacher programs. As part of his Master's program, he worked with the Fairleigh Dickinson University Lab in St Croix monitoring coral reef oxygen respiration rates. He was sponsored by the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Princeton. While working for the National Science Foundation's Project Seraphim, he led workshops for chemistry teachers around the country, developed applications for computers in chemistry education, and hosted the International Internet Conference, CHYMNET, for chemistry educators.

Mr. Moskaluk was recognized as an inspring, distinguished teacher and received the Presidential Scholars Teacher Recognition Award in 2003. This honor is awarded to only one hundred teachers in the United States each year. Mr. Moskaluk is here with his student, Andrea, who was recognized as a Presidential Scholar -- one of the nation's highest honors for high school students. Over the years many of Mr. Moskaluk's students have also been award winners in ACS Chemistry Olympiad competitions.

Mr. Moskaluk has written science questions for the Michigan Educational Assessment Test and the ACT Assessment® and has served as a chemistry reviewer for the University of North Carolina's interactive Web Question Database for chemistry. He has also edited articles for the Journal of Chemical Education. He has completed the College Board Institute program for teaching AP® Chemistry and is an active participant in the College Board's AP® Chemistry Teachers Community.

Mr. Moskaluk has written numerous recommendations for his students, many of whom have gone on to prestigious colleges and universities. While not a complete list, they include MIT, Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, Rutgers, Cal-Tech, Brown University, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University of Michigan, Oxford University, National University of Singapore, and all of the US Military Academies.
