Chemistry Lab

The College Board requires every AP Chemistry Course to have a lab component.

You will receive a lab kit that will allow you to perform twenty college level experiments.

The kit includes chemistry lab notebook, safety goggles, digital balance, digital thermometer, burette, glassware, lab equipment and molecular modeling kit.
Return postage is included. In addition you will receive chemicals to perform the experiments.

You will be expected to supply common substances such as distilled water, baking soda and rubbing alcohol for some of the experiments.

Safety in lab work is part of the course curriculum and lab safety is stressed. Safe storage is required so that no one other than the student can access the experiments. Since the quantities of chemicals are small, a cabinet shelf with a childproof lock will be adequate.
