How it Works
Our AP® Chemistry course is delivered online through the use of three websites — the ChemAdvantage classroom website, WebAssign, and our highly interactive Discussion Board.
At the beginning of each week, you will login to the classroom website where you will see everything you need to know for the week including textbook readings, chapter outlines, video lectures, lab demonstrations, and your assignments. Given that all class materials are available 24/7, you will be able to set your own study schedule during the week.
You will do most of your assignments using WebAssign, an online interactive homework and testing program. Used by over 2300 educational institutions, WebAssign is considered to be the most robust and sophisticated instructional system in the world. Some of the many colleges and academies that use WebAssign are California-Berkeley, Chapel Hill, Notre Dame, Auburn, Georgetown, Rensselaer Polytechnic, Rutgers, Texas A&M, United States Air Force and United States Military and Naval Academies. Although most assignments are done online, some quizzes and tests are submitted to Mr. Moskaluk for hand-grading.
Colleges expect students to participate in their classes. Our AP® Chemistry class has great teaching assistants and students from all around the world who will be using the Discussion Board. Mr. Moskaluk will be there too. The Discussion Board is where students ask all of their chemistry questions, answer questions, and talk about the class and chemistry. Just like the ChemAdvantage classroom website, the Discussion Board is available 24/7.
